We’re Ready For Halloween!

Yes, we are ready for Halloween – or I should say my daughter, Laura,  (Dooley Design Company) has been busy getting her home ready for Halloween.

Laura always has pumpkins and lanterns on her front entrance for the fall season.   The lanterns “change” with the seasons and holidays.  This year she found some very unusual pumpkins–not just your ordinary orange pumpkins but other colors and shapes as well.  Her metal spider holds a light blue pumpkin this year!

Her front door boasts a fun pumpkin doormat, and her “wild” grapevine wreath gives her guests a Halloween greeting.

The decor of the entryway of Laura’s home always changes with the seasons/holidays.  The large black vase on the entryway table inside the door shows off some Halloween-type sticks and a pumpkin “Welcome” sign hangs  on the office door.

The pictures above the main entryway table have been changed out to reflect some of the past Halloween costumes worn by her boys.  A black bird sits by the orange candle in a large glass vase.  The candle has been wrapped with a gray chevron ribbon, and gray/silver skeleton heads purchased from Michaels have been added around the candle.   Laura has hung a “Happy Halloween” witch sign on the lamp.

The mantle of the fireplace in the family room has been decorated with spider webs, silver candle holders with black and white candles, black birds, fall leaves and a fun Halloween print that says, “When the owl and witch together are seen, there’s a mischief brewing on Halloween”!

The bookcases on each side of the fireplace are filled with lighted pumpkins, Halloween signs, skeletons, spiders, candles and more.    Several of the pictures of Laura’s boys have been changed out to again reflect Halloween costumes of previous years.

The sofa table in the family room also gets a re-do for Halloween with a skeleton, a cute “Boo to You” sign on the large pot and pictures of the boys and their dad trick or treating last Halloween.

Laura even decorated the light fixture above the kitchen table!   A wreath has been placed at the base of the fixture and twigs/sticks have been inserted in the wreath.  Black birds have been attached at various places on the chandelier.  You will definitely get in the mood for Halloween when sitting at this table!

My thanks to Laura for sharing her Halloween decorating ideas with us!  Great job as always!!!  I can’t wait to see what she comes up with  for Christmas!  HAPPY HALLOWEEN–watch out for all of those ghosts and goblins!
