Yes, it is “back to school” time, but it just doesn’t seem possible that summer is over and another school year is beginning. \u00a0So, let’s get organized and get the kiddos ready for school!<\/p>\n

I think it helps mornings go a lot smoother if the kiddos know what they are going to wear each day. \u00a0I found a couple of helpful ideas on Pinterest<\/a> that I thought I would share with you. \u00a0First of all, day of the week labels are always a great idea–I found these fun labels on a blog by Kim Byers at JoAnns<\/a>. \u00a0Just get each outfit ready and then put the day of the week label on the hanger with the outfit!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Another great idea is to use a hanging sweater\/shoe bag for each day’s outfits. \u00a0This is a great idea from Uncluttered Simplicity<\/a> – also found on Pinterest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Organizing can also help with homework! \u00a0As the kiddos get older, I think they should have a designated spot (desk) so they can concentrate on their homework without interruptions. \u00a0Check out second-hand shops, consignment shops and flea markets for great finds. \u00a0My daughter has found some great desks by doing this. \u00a0I like the idea of having an organization area on the desk. \u00a0Land of Nod<\/a> had several ideas which I think would work well. \u00a0If Dad or Grandpa is handy, they could probably build something like this.<\/p>\n

Here is a great DIY idea from Gurl <\/a>for getting all of those pencils, pens, markers, etc., organized.<\/p>\n

This simple container organization idea from Laura’s Crafty Life <\/a>would be great for the younger kiddos.<\/p>\n

The older kiddos probably would like this rotating desk organizer from Staples<\/a>. \u00a0I found this from Lisa <\/a>Organizes Life on Pinterest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What about all of those school papers, art work, photos, etc., that will be coming home during the school year? \u00a0 Here’s a great idea from I Heart Organizing. \u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

A tradition at our house always included celebrating the first day of school by sitting down with a plate of brownies and talking about the kiddos’ day. \u00a0I found a couple of delicious-looking brownie recipes on Pinterest<\/a>, including one that is gluten free from Hershey’s<\/a>. \u00a0The Lunch Lady Brownies are from Life In<\/a> The Lofthouse. \u00a0 \u00a0I am going to have to make these!\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
