What a trip, indeed! \u00a0Yes, it has been awhile since my last post only because I have been traveling.<\/p>\n

For the last couple of weeks, I have been making my way to Arizona for the winter. \u00a0With a business stop in Wichita Falls, TX that meant that I was not very far from Waco, TX. \u00a0If you are an HGTV fan like I am, you are probably very familiar with the show “Fixer Upper”<\/a> with Joanna and Chip Gaines. \u00a0I love that show! \u00a0So, my husband was sweet enough to take me to Waco so I could visit Joanna’s shop, Magnolia<\/a> Market. \u00a0We were going to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary that week so that was a great present as far as I was concerned!<\/p>\n

Before visiting Joanna’s current shop on Bosque Avenue, we drove by the “silos” – the new area in downtown Waco where Joanna and Chip are going to have their offices, the shop and much more. \u00a0It was a very busy place–workers everywhere. \u00a0The grand opening is scheduled for October 31 so the reason for all the activity going on around the “silos”.<\/p>\n

When we arrived at Magnolia Market on Bosque, there were lots of people waiting for the shop to open. \u00a0We were greeted by the friendliest \u00a0young lady as we entered the shop. \u00a0Many of the items in Joanna’s shop can be seen on her on-line store and also in many of the homes that she fixes up for her clients – the magnolia wreath is beautiful and Joanna’s line of candles smell wonderful!<\/p>\n

The little “barn” next to the shop houses more unique items for sale. \u00a0You can also get a cup of coffee and a sweet treat if you so desire. \u00a0Outside the little barn are beverage coolers full of ice water–a very nice touch!<\/p>\n

I had an enjoyable visit to Magnolia Market, and of course I had to buy a few things! \u00a0I am anxious to see how the “silos” turn out, and maybe I will be able to visit them next year! \u00a0I am looking forward to the new season of Fixer Upper. \u00a0The ladies at the shop thought the new season would begin around December 1.<\/p>\n

What a trip it was! \u00a0I really enjoyed myself. \u00a0Kudos to Joanna for such a lovely shop, and also to the friendly, courteous gals who work there!!<\/p>\n
