Yes, soon you will be hearing those famous words, “Trick or Treat”! \u00a0<\/p>\n

Since I am not near my grandsons at this time of year, I always send them a Halloween “care” package (and I always include my daughter and son-in-law as well!) \u00a0I thought I would share with you my “care” package idea for this Halloween<\/p>\n

I always find fun treat bags at Walmart<\/a>, and this year was no exception. \u00a0I design my own bag tags and personalize each tag for each member of the family.<\/p>\n

I try to include other things a long with some candies in the bag. \u00a0This year I found some activity books at Walmart<\/a> and also at Walgreens<\/a>. \u00a0One grandson loves Paw Patrol and one grandson likes Scooby Doo so it worked out well. \u00a0My oldest grandson is into baseball cards so I was able to find some packs of baseball cards at Dollar Tree<\/a>. \u00a0I packaged the candy in clear bags and then added a Halloween sticker to each one. \u00a0Of course I had candies left over, so I put them in a bag with my daughter’s name on it so she can divide up the candy at a later date!<\/p>\n

Also included in the care package were Halloween-theme paper plates, napkins and straws. \u00a0These cute plates and napkins were found at Walmart<\/a> and the straws were from Dollar Tree<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This year I also made treat bags for the kiddos at our church preschool. \u00a0I volunteer in the library where two times a week the kiddos come in, find a book and then several of us ladies read to them. \u00a0I put all of the treats in a cellophane bag, tied each with a Halloween-theme ribbon from Walmart<\/a> and then added one of my treat bag tags to each bag.<\/p>\n

Each treat bag contained a Halloween pencil from Walmart<\/a> as well as a bag of pretzels shaped as bats and pumpkins (also from Walmart<\/a>), Smarties candies and a bag of candy corn. \u00a0I purchased a large bag of candy corn, and then divided it into several small cellophane bags. \u00a0I sealed each small bag of candy corn with a round sticker. \u00a0I printed a funny pumpkin on each round sticker. \u00a0I purchased an orange plastic container from Dollar Tree<\/a> to put some of the treat bags in so the kiddos could see them when they came in to the library for reading!<\/p>\n

I hope you have as much fun fixing treat bags as I had with mine! \u00a0The only problem I had was I mixed up the name tags for two of my grandsons! \u00a0I had taken the items out of the bags so I could take pictures for this post, and then got some things in the wrong bags! \u00a0But, of course my grandsons were able to figure out what I had done!! \u00a0Oh, well it’s the thought that counts, right!!!! \u00a0Happy Halloween and Trick or Treat to everyone!!!<\/p>\n
