It is time for a Labor Day celebration!  

It doesn’t seem possible that summer is coming to a close, and soon fall and winter will be upon us!  It is always fun to celebrate Labor Day with family and friends.  I have found some great ideas that hopefully will give you help in planning for your Labor Day celebration.  All of these ideas are on my Labor Day board (Janis Slaughter) on Pinterest.

A Soft Place to Land shows a great way to have the eating utensils ready for everyone!  I found this idea on Pinterest.

 

Hamburgers and hot dogs are usually on the menu for a Labor Day celebration!  I found this “hot dog bar” from B Lovely Events.  It looks like a great way to serve both hot dogs and hamburgers!

Fruits and salads are always good sides to go along with the hamburgers and hot dogs.  Brit + Co. gives a fun way to serve watermelon which is so good this time of year.

Skinny Mom gives ideas/recipes for several different kinds of salads that would go good with the rest of the meal.

Don’t forget dessert – always my favorite part of the meal!  I thought these cupcakes and candies from Hungry Happenings would make a great presentation for the dessert bar.

One of my favorite desserts has always been a “poke cake”, and this idea for a strawberry poke cake comes from Pretty Opinionated.  It is delicious and is easy to make!
